Class Evaluation

  Some things I like about this class is that it taught me how to be a CTR person. I didn't even know that it existed in first place. I also like how we get to use the typing tutor because that shows and helps you how to improve you typing,so far I been able to learn fast. Another thing I like about this class is that we get to use blogger and type student success statements and most of them talk about CTR.

  Things that I don't like about this class is when we have to search up, on our own about any medical field career we want. I like when it is given to us.
  
  Recommendations for improving this class is to show us more about CTR because then everyone will understand what it really means. Lastly I believe that you should do some less talking and shows us instead what CTR really means.
  
  One highlight for me in this class was that I was able to understand what CTR is and why we should follow the path of being a CTR person. Another thing was that I was able to learn how to type with both of my hands, although I still need more practice.

  I believe that I did do my best in this class because I would always follow the procedures, listen to the teacher, and be on time. Even though I feel that I could do way more than this.

  Yes I am reading my life planning goals and writing in them for at least 5 minutes daily. Although sometimes I do forget to report it in my blogger, but most of the time I answer it with a yes.

  Yes I am committed to being a CTR person because when you decide to CTR you go farther in life and that makes it a good thing. Another thing is that people like you more because you know the difference between bad and good. Being a CTR person will also let you teach others and telling them why you should CTR. So yes I am committed to CTR.       
    

Lie

What this quote is trying to tell us is that anytime you choose to tell a lie there will always be another lie to tell because you won’t be able to cover up the one before anymore. Another thing is that you’re choosing the wrong by telling a lie. You may think, oh it's just a small lie but in reality it doesn’t matter how big or small it is because at the end of the day it’s still a lie. If you go on lying each day eventually there will be no escape for you. It would be best for you and everyone else if you just tell the truth from the beginning instead of telling a lie. One more thing, when you tell a lie it can also hurt others and you may not realize it because you only care about yourself. Don’t be that one person who decides to go the wrong way, be the one that will be able to make changes and always have honesty in them. Telling lies will only hurt you they're your enemies, so choose the right.

The clip was about a 7 year old kid name Elder Patrick Kearon who was camping put in the desert with his family. But one morning he decided to take a little adventure throughout the desert. But one thing was that his parents told him to always put on shoes no matter what. He thought why should I put on my shoes when I have my sandals. As he went on he felt a sting and he realized that it was a scorpion that had bit him. He started to feel pain and his parents took him to the closest hospital, which was like two hours away. Once he got there the doctor gave him a shot that will take away the pain and it did. After that day he realized why his parents told him to always wear shoes. I learned that he didn't choose the right and that came in with a consequence so you should always choose the right 100%.

Right

What this quote means is that you should always be able to choose the right because everyone will like you for that. Another thing is that no matter what situation you’re in you should always know what is bad and good for you. An example would be you attend a party and there is drinking and smoking and you see that your friend decides to join the group and then he calls you over to join him. What should you do? Tell him to get out or join the group yourself. I believe that you should leave and if he doesn’t want to, well you leave him. He will later face the consequences, unlike you who decided to always do the right. If you go on choosing the right you will have a better, bright future ahead of you because you earned it. But once you stop choosing the right it will all go down the drain. So always choose the right not 98%, or 99%, but 100%.

What are the dates for World War II:

World War II started on September 1, 1939 and ended six years later on September 2, 1945.  

What countries fought against whom in World War II:

World War II was fought between two groups of countries. On one side were the Axis Powers, including Germany, Italy, and Japan. On the other side were the Allies. Which included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China, and the United States of America, etc.

Where did World War II occur:

World War II took place across the globe. Most of the combat action took place in Europe, East Asia, and islands in the Pacific Ocean. But others were seen in places as far away as Madagascar, and the Aleutian Islands. Countries such as Poland, China, Russia, and Germany saw their territories directly involved in war and suffered terribly. Countries such as the United States and Canada were relatively far from the action, but their citizens still fought a robust home front providing war goods for their men abroad.

Name and describe a few events that happened during World War II:

One major event was when Hitler invaded Poland in September 1939, France and Britain declared war on Germany. After conquering Poland, Germany attacked France. France fell in June 1940 and soon the Nazis overran most of the rest of Europe and North Africa.

How can we honor and show respect for World War II veterans:

We can honor and show respect for World War II veterans by going to events, respecting, thanking, and showing love toward them.

What this quote means is that we should always decide to CTR because it can lead you to becoming someone successful in life. Another thing is that you should always be confident about yourself, if you know that you are choosing the right. Just like Lou Holtz said , you can’t fail if you are determined to doing what's right. But if you do the opposite of that then you are going to fail because you weren’t determined to your goal and you decided to go the wrong way. It only takes three simple steps to CTR but it also takes one thought to CTW, all of this is up to you, whether you want to be someone great in life or if you want to be an epic failure.

Challenges Teens Face Today

I think that the major problems teens face now a day are being bullying and becoming a smoker. Some major challenges teens deal with today are:

• Self-esteem and body image
• Stress
• Bullying
• Depression
• Drinking and smoking
• Teen pregnancy
• Eating disorders

One major challenge I am dealing with is stress. What I'm doing about this is that I try to arrange myself, especially now that I am in high school. It can be hard to handle stress but there are ways you can control it. Stress is just another way to mess with you. Being a CTR person can help you overcome any challenge you face because you are determined to overcome anything. Another thing is that you always know what is best and bad for you. Being a CTR person can really make a great impact in your life especially when you have a challenge in your face. I can help teens overcome their challenges by giving them good advice and encouraging them to not give up because there is always a way to solve it.

Reflection: The greatest need that teens have is that they should be trusted, be safe, be loved, be heard, and find purpose in life. If teens don’t have this in their life then they suffer in many different ways. That’s how teens decide to go the wrong way because they don’t get any of the above and being love should always be the first thing.

  What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always try to stay healthy because it is the key to success. Not only that but when you’re not in good physical condition you get lazy and you’re not willing to cooperate with yourself. Always try to to keep a stable health condition so that you can become someone great and make others and yourself proud. But the sad part is that not everyone thinks that “physical fitness” is the key to success and making something out of it. They see it  just as an activity or hobby you can enjoy and it won’t be necessary in life. There are reasons why we do physical fitness in school not just only to stay healthy but so that we can learn something out of it. Physical fitness also involves the way you think and how you see it. The only way you will succeed in life is if you’re in a good healthy condition because that's the only time you will actually be strong.

                     

Health Science Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities:

  Health science librarian conduct in depth research on different medical topics in order to find the latest information available. They are in charge of arranging and distributing clinical, scientific, and biomedical information for texts, journals, and electronic databases. They are also skilled at producing detailed bibliographies related to many different health fields, as well as publications and abstracts. Health science librarian are employed in various settings like organization libraries, health information centers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical schools.  

Salary: 55,870- 66,627

Education:

   To become a health science librarian you must first complete a high school education course in science,math, and information technology and management. A bachelor's degree in life science should then be followed by a masters degree in library science, which is licensed through the American Library Association.  

Demand for this profession:

   As a health science librarian, you can expect to work in either the education or health industry. Of the 145,710 librarians recorded by the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2011, 60,650 of them were employed in elementary and secondary schools. The next largest group of 42,910 health science librarians worked in local government offices under the OES designation conducting health-related research. Those who have a secondary specialization in a computer science and database field will likely find even greater opportunities for employment in a broad array of areas.

  I think that I would like to be one because you get to inform others on making healthy lifestyles. Another thing is that you also get to work with others as a team and help find medical topics to find the latest information available. Lastly you are also in charge to receive and send out any information that may be important.

Kindness

What this quote means is that we should always be kind if we want to get respect from anyone else. Another thing is if you're  kind it will bring greatness into your life because you deserve it. If you choose to be kind all the time then you are choosing the right. But when you're not kind it just brings disgrace and you let others down. An example would be you see an old lady with too many groceries and she is struggling. What should you do? I think that you should go up to her and be kind to ask her if she needs any help. You can also give kindness in many other forms and it will still bring greatness to you. What I mean by greatness is that you will feel happy, proud, and capable of doing more. Being kind can also motivate others to do this as well. You should be able to find kindness in yourself or be kind so that you can become someone great, CTR.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break

During thanksgiving break I did some pretty fun stuff. I got to spend time with my family and go to places with them. But what I didn’t like was that I had homework to do during my break as well. I had to do three essays for my English class. Places I got to go with my family were to the stores and then we went to Disneyland as well. I had a fun time because we got to spend some family quality time. When it was Thanksgiving Day we did a lot of eating because we cooked all sorts of dishes. We did watch movies while the food was being prepared, we started to watch Christmas movies. It was nice that my family came over to celebrate with us. Another thing I did was that I went to one of my favorite places to get cheesecake.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always choose the right because if we don’t we'll end up having consequences. Another thing is that when you know that something isn’t right we shouldn’t do it because we can get in serious trouble just like I stated earlier. An example would be, you go to the store with your mom and you see this nice new sweater, but it’s expensive and you know that your mom won’t buy it. Instead you decide to steal it without know one seeing you. Do you think you’re making the right choice by just stealing it. I believe that you shouldn’t do it because that is not right. Imagine if it was the opposite of that you probably wouldn’t get in trouble because you decided to do the right thing. It’s better to want something than just going ahead and stealing it, eventually you will get it maybe not now but later on. When you know that something isn’t true, do you think that you should be able to say it out loud. I believe that you shouldn’t  because that can cause the other person to get in trouble for something that isn’t even true. Always choose the right and think twice before you commit your actions.

Thanksgiving: is the expression of gratitude. It is a feast with fruits and prayers of thank and special thanksgiving ceremonies.

Thanksgiving Day: it is a national holiday celebrated in Canada and the United States. It was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of harvest and the preceding year. Thanksgiving had historical roots of religious and cultural traditions and it has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well. It is celebrated the the fourth Thursday of November.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always choose the right because that is was really counts the most. We shouldn’t worry about winning or losing because that doesn’t really matter to anyone else, unless you think that isn’t enough for you. You shouldn’t think for what you want, but for who you are because that is what really matters. An example of being honorable and fair is if you have a test and you know that it is going to be really hard. What should you do? Study or just cheat, I believe that you should study really hard because that is the right thing to do and it shows how honest you were with yourself and the others. Don’t let yourself or other down just because you didn’t choose the right. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose because that is always going to happen throughout life. Just think about being honorable and fair to everyone.

Honesty

What this quote is trying to tell us is that by being honest you will also be able to gain the honesty of others as well. Another thing is that being honest with yourself and others you   are showing how you obey the rule by doing the right thing. An example would be you go to a party with your friend and you see that there is drinking and smoking in the party. You decide to take a little bit of it because it won’t do any harm. Once you get home your mom starts to ask have you been drinking, but you tell her no. What does this mean? You just told a lie to your mom and that is not being a CTR person. Honesty is the only way to a good future because it is the best policy that you can carry around with you all the time. You should always think twice before you commit an action because only you will know when it is the time to tell the truth or tell a lie. Don’t make yourself struggle just because you didn’t want to be honest with yourself or others. It is best if you just tell the truth instead of having to lie.

Veterans Day

  Veterans Day

Veterans day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end World War I to honor US Veterans and victims of all wars. This holiday started as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country’s service and was originally called Armistice Day. Then in 1954 the holiday was was changed to Veterans Day in order to account for all veterans in all war. Veterans day is held on November 11. The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor the brave men and women, living or dead, that fought America’s battles, past and present. It is important to show honor and respect Veterans Day because they did so much for our country and we have to show them how much we appreciate them. Another thing is that this is the right thing to do at least give them our attention. Some ways to show to show honor and respect on Veterans Day is to show up, donate, fly a flag(correctly), write, and visit a VA hospital.

Reflection: My feelings toward Veterans Day is that I am glad that they do celebrate it because this is showing them our respect. Another thing is that we should celebrate even if we didn’t have no one in our family attend the army. I believe that Veterans wasn’t  just to honor those who serve but to show us how we also won this war. It would be nice if you guys attend a ceremony because this means that you do appreciate those who have served for us. Choose the right by honoring Veterans Day because they did sacrificed their life for our country. I am really glad to be a part of Veterans Day.

Three Major Keys

I think he is trying to tell us that you should choose the right every time because that is going to make you a integrity person and everyone is going to like that kind of person. Another thing is that you should be able to say no when you know that it is not right thing to do because it may affect you in life when you choose the wrong. An example would be you go to a party but they are drinking and smoking and they offer you to join them. What should you do say yes or say no and leave the party. I think the best choice would be to say no and leave the party because saying yes can cause a lot of trouble and damage. To live a life of integrity you should also be able to tell the truth and know when you can speak the truth. An example would be, your mom lets you go hang out with your friends but she doesn’t know that your friends are going to be driving and you guys are still under age to be driving. Once you get home your mom asks how was your night and you respond to her good. What should you do tell your mom that you guys went out for a drive or just leave to your bedroom. I think you should tell your mom what you really did tonight. One more thing you will need is to always do the right thing because it will always be the right thing to do, instead of going the opposite way. Be a CTR person and once you know it you’re going to be proud of yourself.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that if you decide to choose the right way then you will become someone successful in life because you knew what what right and wrong for you. Unlike the others that go the wrong way and end up becoming nothing besides regretting what they have done and wishing they can go back and make it up. But the truth is, you can’t no more because what is done is done. An example would be you go out to a party with your friend, but you don’t know if it’s going to be good or bad party. Once you arrive there you realize that it is a bad party what should you do? Go back home or stay at the party. The best choice would be to go back home because why do you want to be somewhere, where it isn’t going to do you any good. Another thing is that when  you should always choose the right because that will make you be a wise person and everyone will like that person much more than not being a wise person. Never make the wrong choices because that can lead to bad consequences and you wouldn’t like to be a part of that.

Gainesville

In the video we just saw there was two teams against each other, but one of the schools was for the bad kid(prisoners), which was The Gainesville Tornadoes while the other school was a private school. They would play basketball games with other teams but they never really had no one to cheer for them. So then one day they were going to play against a school that was private. But two kids from the private school thought was is the point of a game when you have no one to cheer for you, so they decided to tell their friends to cheer for Gainesville team. This was unexpected for the Gainesville team and after the game was finish they said that they would never forget this moment.

To Do Good

What this quote is trying to tell us is that you should always do good in life no matter what because that is who we want to be known by. Another thing is that we can recreate ourselves by becoming a good person and try not to be the bad person we were back then. An example would be you go to the shoe store and it is very packed and there are some shoes you really want but they are expensive, so you decide to get some shoes that are less money. Once you arrived to the cashier you see someone else buying the shoes you wanted, but by an accident they mix the shoes once you have paid them. What should you do, go back and tell them or keep them to yourself? I believe that you should go back and return them because that will make you a good person even if  you don’t get nothing in return. By doing this you can recreate yourself to becoming a good person everyday in your life, which will make you be someone successful in life. One more thing is that, by doing good you can motivate yourself as well and also know the difference between bad and good. Be wise and always choose the right so you can be proud of yourself like other people would be of you.

What this quote means is that, when something is meant to be correct/good people are against it. But when something is bad and we know it is we still go for it. This quote is trying to tell us how we always decide to choose the wrong way over the good way. For example, the whole school is against uniform policy but the teachers and school believe that it is a good thing to have uniforms in school, even if we are against it. Another example is, your at a party and you see people smoking and drinking but you know that this can cause harm to your body. What do you do, you go along with it or stop them? But your answer will be to go along with it because that is an easier choice to make and you know this is wrong to do. We should always make the right choices, even if we believe that they aren’t meant to be right. This is better than knowing that the wrong things can cause problems in your life when you decide to go along with it. Be a CTR person even if you don’t believe that it is the right thing to do. But once you realize it you’re going to be proud of yourself and you’re going to be chosen over the bad person.

I think this quote is trying to tell you that you should take care of what you really want instead of throwing it to waste. An example would be, you want to finish your career and you know that your roommate likes to party a lot and he's encouraging you to go but you know that you have a test the next day. What should you do, go out or study. The best solution for that is to just stay home and study becomes once you know it you're going to be out if college faster than your roommate. It only take a second to make up your answer. Another thing is that not only you should say it, but write it down somewhere and be able to see it everyday so that you can remember what you want to do in future. You shouldn't take what you want the most for granted because then you will have nothing left, but you wishing you can go back and rewind it. Always make sure to choose the right because that is what makes you become someone great in life.

     School Homecomings

What is a School Homecoming: School homecoming is the tradition of welcoming back former students and celebrating a school’s existence, along with a homecoming football game.

History of School Homecoming: Homecoming is an old American college tradition, for which the current students of an institution select a king and queen and they create spirit displays, floats, and banners designs to promote the school spirit and welcome the alumni back to campus.

Why do we celebrate Homecoming in Schools: We celebrate to show school spirit and support whatever athletic teams and clubs are going on during that time of period. All of this encourages students and alumni to have school spirit and pride.

Why is it called Homecoming Game: It is called Homecoming Game because the football game is the main homecoming attraction. There is usually a huge crowd and lots of energy, so the pressure is on for the home team to win. They usually make so much noice so that the team can crush the competition.

Homecoming Etiquette:  Homecoming, which takes place every fall, is a very important high school event. Although traditions may vary by school, it is typically defined by a football game followed by a semi-formal dance. There may even be a parade or a school spirit week in conjunction with the occasion. Some schools may also use it as a time to welcome back alumni for a special dinner or reunion. During high school homecoming, there are special rules of etiquette students should follow.

Reflection: I think that homecoming is important because you get to meet new  people and talk to them so you can know a little bit more. Another thing is that you get to dance all you want with your new and old friends, you even get to reunite with others.

A Good Name

    What this quote means is that you should always do good in life, be a CTR person so that everyone will know what kind of person you are. When you are a bad person then you have a bad name right in front of you because no one is going to want someone that doesn't achieve in life. Another thing is that we are not only only aiming to achieve our dreams and goals but we also want to be known for someone good because our names say it all. For example you want to work at a nice office, but when they see your record and realize you were a bad person during your teenage life. They are not going to want you because they make think "why do we want him here, he might just bring our business down". This is only by your name, and they still haven't even met you but you already showed the bad side of you without knowing if you have actually changed. We should always be doing good things in life because our name is the only thing that will matter to other people, they may be surprise that you actually achieved in life but all they want to know is what kind of person you became to be. (Kind, Helpful, CTR, Smart, etc...) Always choose the right and never stop doing that because we want a clean name throughou9t our life.

I wouldn’t like to work at another country because that means you will have to change you life into a new one because everything is going to be new to you. Another thing is that you’re going to be far away from your families and friends. This will also be hard to adapt to the new life you will begin, that is why I wouldn’t like to work in another country.
