True Independence and Freedom

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we can only get true independence and freedom when we choose the right. In order to get what we want like, being successful we need be honest and have something great inside us like CTR. An example of this quote would be you are in jail but you want to get your freedom back. But there’s nothing that you can do now only wait until your sentence is over. What you should've done was to not get in trouble from the beginning because there’s always consequences to your bad actions. By choosing the right, you will go very far in the future because there’s nothing that can stop you from pursuing your dreams. To get true independence, it will take a lot of your hard work because only you can decide whether you want something great out of your life. We all know that everyone wants freedom but there are some people that make wrong actions and it leads them to the dark. But for that not to happen you need to live by choosing the right so you can have both freedom and true independence.

The Truly Good

What this quote is trying to tell us is that only those who are truly great are also good. For example, you’re a good basketball player and you’re the best one in the team but at home you take care of your siblings because your mom has to go to work. This is showing us that you’re not just good at basketball, but also good in character because you care for your family. Another thing is that not so many people have good character because they think that with intelligence everything is going to be alright. But in reality you need to be capable to do both because it can bring you a brighter future. If you’re a choose the right person you wouldn’t have to worry about anything because you will already have good character in you. But if you are that one person that chooses the wrong then you may not be truly good. To be truly good you will mostly need how to be respectful and be honest.

                           

No Way

What this quote is trying to tell us is that cheating isn’t worth and it never will be  because in the long term pain the guilt will still be there. You’re going to eventually feel guilty about yourself and regret it because someone is going to catch you. The same way when you are playing a sport. If you use steroids you are cheating, especially if you are winning your way to victory.  We need to understand that cheating is never the solution to anything. The only time you can claim victory is when you do you work with honesty, integrity, and choosing the right. You should have clean wok instead of dirty work because then you will feel happy about yourself and everyone will know what kind of person you are. I inform to you to never cheat because it will bring no good and always choose the right.

Volunteer Opportunities

Non- Medical/ Health Volunteer Opportunities

Here are some volunteer opportunities that interested me:

• Volunteer to help kids
• Volunteer to work with animals
• Music therapy volunteer for the hospice

“Volunteer to help kids” is an organization where they help kids who live and poverty and are at a risk for injuries and premature death. They give support to students in the ages of 6 to 18 and teach them skills and help them to write.

“Volunteer to work with animals” is an organization where they provide shelters for dogs that have been abandoned and abused and they proved them with love and care.

“Music therapy volunteer for the hospice” is where you go play any instrument you really like and introduce it to the hospice patient who would greatly benefit from your musical ability.

All these opportunities are located in Los Angeles.

Cheat

“I won’t cheat”- Dale Murphy

What this quote means is that cheating is never the solution to anything because eventually consequences will come along. You may think that cheating is okay because you haven’t gotten caught but eventually who will. Or maybe you don’t get caught at all but once you go to college you will realize that cheating was never the right thing to do. In order to be successful you need to work hard and ask yourself what is the correct way to do it. I know that cheating is not one of them but being responsible and hardworking is and there are plenty of more ways to become successful and achieve your goal. Cheating or already being a cheater is never the right solution because it will get you nowhere and it just makes others to be upset about you. Be a CTR person because it will not only make you feel proud of yourself but other people as well. Never decide to take the shortcut because it will never bring good deed. An example of this quote would be you are late to class and you totally forgot that you were having a test. So you decide to write the answers in a small paper so that you the correct answers. Do you think that he was doing the right thing. I believe he wasn’t.

“Character matters most.”- Dale Murphy

What this quote is trying to tell us is that character matters the most because that’s how we make new friends. You may think that intelligence matters the most but it's not true, character is the one that matters the most. Now one will care if you’re rich or not because they on focus on your personality and what you are capable of. For example if you can be nice, respectful, generous and many more. By choosing the right all the time, it will make you into a good person and you will feel proud of yourself. An example of this quote would be you’re at school and your friends are bullies and they ask you to join them because they say it's fun. But should you really go ahead and join them? I think that you shouldn’t because then your are showing others your character which are being disrespectful , mean, and cruel to others. I suggest to you to always choose the right because it will bring you up and make you a someone successful. Do not just have intelligence in you but also make sure that you have character in you as well because it will matter in the future.

Who was St. Patrick?

St. Patrick was the patron saint of one of Christianity’s widely known figures. He was born in 385 in Roman Britannia in the modern day town of Dumbarton, Scotland. Another thing is that he was kidnapped and brought to slavery.

What is the purpose of St. Patrick's Day?

The purpose of St. Patrick's Day is to celebrate  the Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland. St. Patrick died on March 17, 461.

Why is St. Patrick’s Day designated when it is?

The first St. Patrick's Day celebration was in Philadelphia and was held in 1771. They also wanted to honor St. Patrick and provide relief to Irish immigrants in the city.

Why a certain color on St. Patrick’s Day?

Many people believe that the Emerald Isle and the color green are linked because of the country’s verdant landscape but the association actually traces roots to Irish political history. Another thing is the flag but there are also several greens that associate with the Irish culture.

A Right Heart

What this quote is trying to tell us is that our great strength or are great riches like money and gold don’t matter at all. The only thing that does matter is our character because that is what also brings success besides our intelligence. Another thing is that by choosing the right we will be something great because we are doing it by heart and we care to be successful. We need to show the world what really matter because our appearance, money, and  strength don’t really mean anything. Unless you’re that one person that always chooses the wrong and doesn’t care about anything and it's only about them. An example of this would be your a person who has a lot of money and a really great look so you think you're better than the others. But in reality to others you may not even be that because they won’t care about you. They want people/ friends of good character and honesty and those people you can only find them if they are a CTR person.

Medical/ Health Volunteer Opportunities

Some opportunities I found were:

• Patient care volunteer for hospice,
• Human resources volunteers (HR)
• Health educator

Patient care volunteer for hospice is a place where I am needed to visit diagnosed and very ill persons to provide comfort just like their family would. While the human resource volunteer interact with members to ensure they are receiving the best care experience possible.

I can apply to these jobs by being open minded  willing to help, and an acceptance of others. I will also need to have a clean background with some good grades. I should also be able to have some skills like listening and focused.

There are more volunteering jobs out there but these three the ones that interest me more.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that it actually matters if we decide to choose the wrong or choose the right because that’s going to reflect on us and how we are as a person. If one day you decide to choose the wrong you're going to regret it because it will ruin your life. But if you do the opposite of that then you have nothing to worry about, all you have to do is continue on by choosing the right. An example of this quote would be you’re a “A” student but you still decide to bully others. What does that make you a CTR person or CTW person? I think you’re a CTW person because you need both intelligence and character in you to be CTR person. Being a CTW person won't make you look as great as you would like to be because you will still need some progression in order for that to happen.

Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Ophthalmologist are physicians that choose to specialize in conditions, injuries, and diseases affecting the eye and its related structures. They may be thought generally as eye doctor and perform some of the same duties as optometrist. But the difference is that they can perform eye surgery and treat eye diseases that a optometrist may not do. Another thing is that they examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses and glasses.

Education:

    Ophthalmologist are a type of physician and are required to earn a medical degree and earn a four year bachelor’s degree. They must complete four years of medical school and undergo 3-8 years of internships and residencies. They are required a state license.

Demand or need for this profession:

    Ophthalmologists must have strong physics and math skills as well as a robust medical knowledge.This is because many ophthalmologist own their own practices. Having good management and administrative skills are also helpful.

I think that I would like to become one because it seems to be an interesting career. Another thing is that I can help others with their vision problems. Lastly it will make you and others very happy because you were able to help them.

Create it

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we are the only one’s that can decide how we want our future to look like and be. Whether it is becoming someone successful and always choosing the right or being that person that goes down the drain and chooses the wrong. Another thing is that we create our future because that's how life is treating it. Along the way we decide if we want to live the hard way or the easy way. The hard way is when we are determined to continue on no matter what  obstacle is in the way because eventually all the hard work will pay off. The easy way is when you don’t even try and you just cheat throughout your life and end up being nothing. An example would be you cheat in you six grade math because you just don’t like math. Well as your getting older and attend high school you still keep cheating. Now that you're in college you realize that math is important and there is no way out so you can’t cheat anymore. What should you have done from the beginning? I think that you should of have asked for help and at least try to learn to something. But you didn’t and now you're facing the consequences. I want to tell you that you should always choose the right so that you can predict your future and make it your own with success.

Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

   Duties of operating room technicians place them in the operating room before, during, and after the surgeons and nurses participation. Some duties were that they need to prepare the operating room, make sure that all necessary supplies and surgical tools are sterile and ready, deliver patient to recovery, clean up the operating  room after surgery and many more.

Salary:

Education:

    A high school diploma or GED satisfies the qualifications for a candidate to enter the necessary training programs and become a operating room technician also known as ORT. But if you earn an associate's or bachelor’s degree it will make you more desirable to employers and position for opportunities that come along over the years.

Demand or need for this profession:

    The standard or performance is set high and there is quite understandably little to no tolerance in the operating room for careless mistakes or inattentively. You are required to get along with all other operating room personnel and learn to manage stress and thrive. Level- headedness and solid organizational skills are required from the start.

    I think that i wouldn’t like to become one because it doesn’t really interest me and it seems to takes a lot of hard work and effort to get everything correctly. Another thing is that you need, to be ready for anything and at anytime because it is important that you know what you’re doing. Lastly is that you need to get the correct equipment, so that when surgery begins you know what to use and not cause any problems. That's why i think i won’t be able to attend this job.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should question our self everyday and think about right and wrong. Should we decide to choose the wrong or choose the right. Another thing is that we need to act mature when it comes to choosing the right or wrong. We need to think twice before we take action because then we may commit a mistake and it will lead us to consequences. An example of this quote would be you go to a party and you see your friend drinking. What should you do go ahead and drink with him or just back away from the drinks that contain alcohol. I think that it would be best if you just stay away and act appropriate because you know that drinking without supervision is choosing the wrong. Everyday we wake up and wonder what should we do today and the first thing that should come to mind is to choose the right all the time. Choose some friends that are mature and honest with you because those are the ones that always choose the right.

What this quote means is that if we do well in our part we will feel good about it because they weren’t lies, it was only us being honest. We need to choose the right and not the wrong because it may lead to consequences. An example of this quote would be Martin Luther King Jr. because he fought for civil rights and was honest about it. He did because he wanted freedom and equal rights for everyone. Since he did it with honesty and integrity he is now remembered and honored as someone important. I advise you to always do your part by being honest because it will only bring out the good in us. You should  want to be honor with honesty lies and not real lies that you may have committed because you may lose everything. Choosing the right will lead you to many good things and you may even get something in return because you did it with honesty. Remember to do your part by being honest, nice, and CTR because you may only get one chance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Nursing home administrator is a specialized area of medical and health services management. They work to supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing home and related facilities. Their typical duties include overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care and medical supplies.

Education:

    They are required to have at least a four year bachelor’s degree and pass a state licensing examination. Larger employers or more advanced positions may require a master’s degree. Health services administration, public administration, or long term care administration is a standard credential for a nursing home administrator.  

Demand or Need for this profession:

    Nursing home administrator should have skills and knowledge. Being  able to absorb and interpret large amounts of possibly conflicting information and possessing good communication skills will help you to be effective as a nursing home administrator.

What this quote is trying to tell us is if we decide to choose the right we will be in good hands because we have done some good things. Another thing is that we should live a life where we will be able to choose the right because that's the right thing to do. An example of this quote would be you find a bag lying down in the park and you realize that it has a lot of cash in it, maybe around 10,000 dollars. What should you do, take it with you or call the police to help you find the owner that left it there. I believe that you should advise the police so that they can help. If you do decide to get help then that means that you have chosen to choose the right because you knew what was best for you. We need to learn that going the right path will always lead to something good and there will always be someone to take care of you. Never go to the wrong path because we will end up paying the consequences.

Neurosergeon

The Neurosurgeon

Duties and Responsibilities:

   Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system and is often performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, certain types of birth defects, infections and head or spinal cord injuries. Their daily life is extremely complex and demanding. Their main responsibility is to perform surgery to resolve problems with the nervous system. Neurosurgeons must also meet with the families of patient in surgery and keep them updated on the situation.

Education:

   Neurosurgeons must complete an undergraduate degree and must earn a bachelor’s degree. Another thing is that they must be in a pre-medical program that will cover academic courses in general chemistry, biology, mathematics, organic chemistry and english. They must have at least four complete years of medical school.

Demand or need for this profession:

   They must be able to perform surgery the correct way and prevent or treat any diseases that can occur in the brain.
