This statement is trying to tell us that we will be successful in life if we decide to go through the right path. When we choose the right it makes us feel happy even if we don’t get nothing in return. Life will be full of obstacles but we just need to know what is best for us, so that we don’t fall in the wrong path. Many people think that choosing the wrong is dumb because it’s a waste of your time but in reality it isn’t. It will make you feel better and proud of yourself. Choosing the right can take you far because it will open up doors for you and that’s how you become successful. An example of choosing the right would be you’re in the bus and you see that there’s an old lady trying to find a seat so that she can sit down but there isn’t any because they're all full. What would be the best thing to do there? I think that you should stand up and tell the lady to sit down where you were because it’s the right thing to do. Always choose the right no matter what because it takes you very far.

   Class Evaluation

     Some things I liked about this class were that I got to learn new things that I didn’t know about when I came here. Like for example choosing the right, I didn't know that it could bring you success. I also got to meet new people and communicate with them. This class also taught me to never choose the wrong because it can lead you to a wrong path and big consequences. I also liked that we had a goals journal to keep with us so that we can write all our goals.

    There was probably one thing that I didn’t like about the class which was that we had to present our CTR project to the class. Another thing was that we don’t have enough time to finish writing our student success statement. That's pretty much it because I liked the experience I had in this class.

    I would recommend that you should keep the class more focus and active so that they don’t put their head down while you’re talking. Another thing is that you should have students participate more when it comes to class discussion. You should also explain to them what is expected from the class so that they actually try.

    A highlight for me in this class was that I got to understand what CTR means. Now that I know what it means I’m committed to be one because it’s important to have those people out in the open so others can see it and be one as well. Another highlight was that I understood what coding means and why we do it. It’s important to know because that's what technology is, coding.

    I think that I actually did my best in this class because my final grade was an A. I always tried to do my best because we are expected to think outside the box. I was also proud of the work I turned in because I know that it was good and I will continue to strive to the best, especially now that I choose the right.

    Yes I am reading my life planning goals journal for at least 5 minutes because it’s important to know what you want and what you want to do in life. I do this because I know that by looking at my goals I will achieve them no matter what it takes. Even if I'm leaving this class I will continue to write on it.

    Yes I’m committed to being a CTR person because if I am I will be successful in life. This will also make me very happy because you know that its was the right thing to do. I would like to thank this class for helping me understand what being a CTR person means and why it’s important to be one.

The Ultimate Choice

The ultimate choice is to be a CTR person-to always choose the right 24/7!!!- Mr. Haymore

What this statement is trying to tell us is that we need to be a CTR person because it will bring the best out of you. When you decide to choose the right, it makes us feel better. We need to make the ultimate choice by just CTR because it’s the best choice you can do. An example would be you're going for a hike at the mountains and you see a dog stranded, cold and hungry. What should you do, take it with you and turn it in so they can find the owner or leave it there to die. I think that you should take it with you because dogs are like humans and we need good people that are willing to save a life. Being a CTR person 24/7 can always make you happy and bring you success. You may not get a reward in return but that doesn’t matter when you choose the right. Not everyone does the right thing but you should show the world what you’re capable of. It only takes one step to choose the right. To be a CTR person you need to be 100% percent sure, it can’t be 50% or 99%. I know that I can be committed to being a CTR person.

                         

Beautiful Character

Student Success Statement

If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world. - Chinese Proverb

What this statement means is that if there’s kindness, honesty and integrity in character there will be peace in the world. We need to show everyone how to be kind so that our world can be the same and we won’t have fights against one another or hate towards each other. An example of this statement would be they ask you to take care of your little brother and you agree because you care about him. This means that you would be determine to him without leaving him alone. Choosing the right is also one way to have peace in the world because you’re just doing what feels right to you. Life is going to have obstacles in your way but you need to know how to prepare yourself so that you won’t be mad at the world.   

                    

Student Success Statement

What this quote means is that if you don’t have anything planned for your future you’ll have nowhere to go. You’ll be stuck your whole life with the same thing over and over. You need to have something in mind that will make you happy and excited to continue on and achieving your goals.  An example that would fit this quote would be you’re in school and when you get home you receive a letter from a college/university and it says you got accepted. But you don’t want to go to school anymore so you reject it. Do you think you made the right choice there? I believe that  you didn’t because now you have nowhere to go besides look for a part-time job that isn’t even enough for you. Be smart about the actions you do because they can turn into a failure when you don’t know what’s best. Always choose the right and try your best to complete your goals because it will bring success into your life. When the boat doesn’t move because it’s missing it rudder you don’t move either because you’re missing something too. This applies to me because I need to know what I want for my future. Luckily I do know what I want and that’s to become an Orthodontist and I know that I will accomplish this goal and so can anyone else.

                                                                        

Forgive

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always forgive one another. Even when we are hurt so bad, you may think that it isn’t possible to forgive but it is. An example of this quote would be you and your mom get in a big fight because she didn’t let you go out with your friends. So you’re really mad at her that you start to scream at her and slam the door in front of her. Do you think you made a right decision to do that and will you be able to forgive her? That’s the question you should ask yourself because you don’t want to have anger toward your mother for one little thing. I believe that you should forgive her and give her another chance because maybe she had reason why she didn't let you go out. When you grieve toward someone else and you hate them so much do you think it does any good for you? I think it doesn’t, so just forgive that person and you’ll be free.

“Dare to do right”- Rex D. Pinegar

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we are dared to always choose the right because it's the best thing you can do. Another thing is that if we aren’t told to choose the right than there would never be peace and respect towards us. An example of this quote would be that you throw a party at your house and your mom tells you that there’s no smoking allowed only beverages. But then you see someone come in with a pack of cigarettes. What should you do allow him in so that you get in trouble or kick him out and do the right thing. I think that it would be best if you kick him out because it’s best for everyone.So I’m daring you to do the right thing. When you are dare someone to do something you should always make sure that they are positive and clean so that you won't get in trouble. That’s why Rex is daring you to do right because he wants to see if you have the potential and the ability to choose the right all the time.

                       

Stand Tall

  Brooke is a girl who lives in Mexico and she's at least 6 feet tall. She has friends who talk nice things about her and really care for as well. They said that Brooke doesn’t let peer pressure get in her way just because she’s tall. Some things that her friends said were that she's nice, kind, friendly and funny

Stand Alone

“Dare to stand alone.”- Thomas S. Monson

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should stand alone when we’re in a bad situation. For example you go to a party and you see people fighting and drinking alcohol, what should you do? I think that you should get out of there as fast as you can, so that you won’t be involved in it. It’s better when you’re alone than in a crowd where they are choosing the wrong. Another thing Thomas is trying to say is that standing alone isn’t a bad thing because indeed it gets you farther in the future, you’ll be successful. Don’t forget that choosing the right is always acceptable in every situation. Don’t go down the wrong path and be unsuccessful because no one wants to see you suffer. If you take the dare to stand alone then you’ll be able to do anything you desire to do. Don’t let anyone or anything drag you only you know what’s best for whether it’s standing alone or choosing to join the crowd.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that if we keep doing the right thing then we will be successful in life. An example would be by going to a good university where you can get a better education instead of going to community college where there’s barely anything. Another thing is, if you have goals and you keep pursuing them than the rest of the other things will just come to you. We need to choose the right every time because if we don’t there can be consequences. When you choose the wrong there can be a downfall where you can’t get back up again because there are just too many obstacles in your way. Only a few will know how to fight back because they know what’s best for them. You should know that be successful in life is amazing because you get to do anything once your done, like when you get a good career. Follow what Dan Dierdorf said because you will need it in the future.

What Phillip Riggs is trying to tell us is that we should always work hard for the things we want because they just won't come around. Another thing is that we need to do, is follow our passions meaning do best in what you like. He also mentioned that we shouldn’t chase money. I thought why shouldn’t we chase after money and that’s when I realized that he wants us to know that money is always going to be around we don’t need a lot of it to be happy. Lastly he said that we should do good things for others if you want to be treated with respect. I believe that he is correct because everyone wants to be treated equally with respect and honesty. I also want to let you guys know that choosing the right also emphasizes on what he said. Always do what is best for you and everyone around you because it can bring success.

The Right Thing

What this quote is trying to tell us is that when we face a difficult problem in front of us we need to be able to know what we are doing, is going be the right thing. An example of this quote would be you find 100 dollars in the floor while your walking and you notice that the person in front of you drop them. What should you do keep them to yourself or turn them back in? I think that you should return it back to the person because it’s the right thing to do and you will also feel good about yourself.  We should know the difference between wrong and right because if we don’t then we may get nowhere in life. Making a decision to always do the right is the answer to your future because it will make you successful.

What this quote means is that if you think that cheating will help you on a test well you're wrong. Let me tell you why, the reasons why it won’t help is because you’re going to fail school, you learned nothing by cheating and it just makes you feel bad. When you decide to choose the wrong you never gain anything because it comes back to get you but this time you’ll have consequences. Another thing is that you always choose the right because it makes you feel happy and you’ll be successful in life. An example of this quote would be you and your friend got in a big argument and she's really mad that she wants to fight you and so do you. But do you really think that it will make anything feel better. So you decide to do it and you realizes that it didn’t help at all because you're still mad. What should have you done in the first place?  I think that you should’ve just left it alone and continued on with your life. Now you know that choosing the wrong never helps you, it just cause more trouble for you. So always choose the right and go the long way.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always decide to choose the right even if you don’t see others doing it. It will make you happy when you CTR because you’re showing others what you capable of and it also brightens up the person you're helping out. An example of this quote would be you saw someone cheating in the test and you know that it isn’t fair because you studied while the other person didn’t. What should you do tell the teacher or keep it a secret? I think that you should tell the teacher because they will put an end to it and you won’t have to feel guilty about keeping it a secret. When you choose the wrong it can lead to consequences and you don’t want that because people may not want to hang out with you. We need to step up and choose the right when we see something that isn’t right, have some good character.

I think that this quote means that when you give your word of honor you should never break it because it can cause you to have consequences. An example of this quote would be you ask your mom for permission to go out with your friends but she tells you that you have to be home by 9:00 and you agree. When you realize it’s already 8:30 you should already know what to do. You will have to tell your friends that’s it’s time for you to go home even if they’re trying to convince you to stay a little longer. But if you would’ve done the opposite of that you would be breaking your word of honor to your mom. Which means that you’re choosing the wrong. No one can make you break your word of honor except you because you’re going to take full responsibilities of your actions.  Make sure that you always choose the right because it’s the best thing for you and for everyone else around you.

The 10 Indian Commandments

The 10 Indian commandments has powerful sayings that can open a person's mind. Like commandment number 6. It tells you to always “do what you know to be right”, meaning that you should know what you're going to do, so that you won’t have to face any consequences just because you chose the wrong. Another commandment that stood out to me was number 10 because not everyone take full responsibility for their actions. For example you decide to rob a store with your partner and they caught you, so when they ask you what happen you blame it all on your partner and make up lies that weren’t even true so that you can get away with it. All the commandments have a purpose and they teach you a valuable point on what you should do. But overall you should be able to choose the right.

     

A Promise

What this quote means is that you should always keep your promises when you say them because if you don’t there can be consequences. It’s important to keep your promises because it can build up your character meaning that people will be able to count on you and trust you. An example of this quote would be that your best friend tells you a secret she never shared before and she tells you “promise that you will never say anything” and you agree.  But the next day you tell everyone so now they are making fun of her and she’s crying. But when you try to talk to her she doesn’t want to see you or be around you anymore. You already made a bad decision because you broke your promise about not saying anything. Another example would be that you are starting a new job and they want you in at 9:00 am and you promise that you will be there. But the next day when you wake up it's already 9:30. This means that you’re already late and the promise is already broken. You should have checked your alarm before you went to sleep. Keeping promises may be hard to do but if you break the they can lead you to lose things like, your friends, jobs, trust and many more.

Goodness

What this quote is trying to tell us is that goodness will never fail you. If you decide to do something bad one day then the next day there will be another chance for you to do good and choose the right. Doing good will always be an open door for you to enter. An example of this quote would be that you are at the store shopping and you see that someone drop their money, what should you do? Keep it or return it back. I suggest that you give it back because it will bring you happiness in your life and you will feel good and proud of yourself. By doing good you will always be successful in life because you know what’s best for you and why you do it. Never go the wrong path because it will bring you no good and our goal here is to be someone with good character. Being good never hurts, so why don’t you give it a chance and experience how good it may make you feel. Always choose the right because it makes you a better and a happy person.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should focus on being a CTR person because it will make it sound and look good. Our priority right now is to have an education and always make sure that we are good people choosing the right. If everyone know that choosing the right is a good thing then the next thing you know it will be a great influence to the younger ones. But if you choose the wrong then you will be going the wrong path and our goal here is to try to avoid all the bad. An example would be you’re a senior and you're trying to get into a good university. If you show them what you’re capable of I’m sure that they will accept you. But you do need to have good skills like academics, character, and communication skills. Be wise and always try your best to be a CTR person because it will bring success in your life.

Be True

What this quote means is that you should choose the right all the way just like Abraham did, he didn’t care so much about winning but about being honest with himself and everyone else that was with him. Another thing is that he said that he would stand with anybody that was right meaning if they are people who choose the right have have great integrity. The ones he will stand by will also stand by him when he needs them because he did them a favor as well/ but he won’t do it for those who choose the wrong because they have no value and dignity. An example of this quote would be you have a basketball game on Sunday but one of your teammates didn’t come and you decide to cheat by bringing someone else. That’s already making you a person of no value. But if you do the opposite which is play a fair game then maybe you even have a chance of winning because you're doing it with your honesty.
