Do The Right Thing At The Right Time

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always decide to choose the right even if you don’t see others doing it. It will make you happy when you CTR because you’re showing others what you capable of and it also brightens up the person you're helping out. An example of this quote would be you saw someone cheating in the test and you know that it isn’t fair because you studied while the other person didn’t. What should you do tell the teacher or keep it a secret? I think that you should tell the teacher because they will put an end to it and you won’t have to feel guilty about keeping it a secret. When you choose the wrong it can lead to consequences and you don’t want that because people may not want to hang out with you. We need to step up and choose the right when we see something that isn’t right, have some good character.

The 10 Indian Commandments

1. Treat the Earth and all dwells therein with respect

The 10 Indian commandments has powerful sayings that can open a person's mind. Like commandment number 6. It tells you to always “do what you know to be right”, meaning that you should know what you're going to do, so that you won’t have to face any consequences just because you chose the wrong. Another commandment that stood out to me was number 10 because not everyone take full responsibility for their actions. For example you decide to rob a store with your partner and they caught you, so when they ask you what happen you blame it all on your partner and make up lies that weren’t even true so that you can get away with it. All the commandments have a purpose and they teach you a valuable point on what you should do. But overall you should be able to choose the right.

     

A Promise

“A promise must never be broken.”- Alexander Hamilton

What this quote means is that you should always keep your promises when you say them because if you don’t there can be consequences. It’s important to keep your promises because it can build up your character meaning that people will be able to count on you and trust you. An example of this quote would be that your best friend tells you a secret she never shared before and she tells you “promise that you will never say anything” and you agree.  But the next day you tell everyone so now they are making fun of her and she’s crying. But when you try to talk to her she doesn’t want to see you or be around you anymore. You already made a bad decision because you broke your promise about not saying anything. Another example would be that you are starting a new job and they want you in at 9:00 am and you promise that you will be there. But the next day when you wake up it's already 9:30. This means that you’re already late and the promise is already broken. You should have checked your alarm before you went to sleep. Keeping promises may be hard to do but if you break the they can lead you to lose things like, your friends, jobs, trust and many more.

“Character matters most.”- Dale Murphy

What this quote is trying to tell us is that character matters the most because that’s how we make new friends. You may think that intelligence matters the most but it's not true, character is the one that matters the most. Now one will care if you’re rich or not because they on focus on your personality and what you are capable of. For example if you can be nice, respectful, generous and many more. By choosing the right all the time, it will make you into a good person and you will feel proud of yourself. An example of this quote would be you’re at school and your friends are bullies and they ask you to join them because they say it's fun. But should you really go ahead and join them? I think that you shouldn’t because then your are showing others your character which are being disrespectful , mean, and cruel to others. I suggest to you to always choose the right because it will bring you up and make you a someone successful. Do not just have intelligence in you but also make sure that you have character in you as well because it will matter in the future.  

A Right Heart

What this quote is trying to tell us is that our great strength or are great riches like money and gold don’t matter at all. The only thing that does matter is our character because that is what also brings success besides our intelligence. Another thing is that by choosing the right we will be something great because we are doing it by heart and we care to be successful. We need to show the world what really matter because our appearance, money, and  strength don’t really mean anything. Unless you’re that one person that always chooses the wrong and doesn’t care about anything and it's only about them. An example of this would be your a person who has a lot of money and a really great look so you think you're better than the others. But in reality to others you may not even be that because they won’t care about you. They want people/ friends of good character and honesty and those people you can only find them if they are a CTR person.

Student Success Statement

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should question our self everyday and think about right and wrong. Should we decide to choose the wrong or choose the right. Another thing is that we need to act mature when it comes to choosing the right or wrong. We need to think twice before we take action because then we may commit a mistake and it will lead us to consequences. An example of this quote would be you go to a party and you see your friend drinking. What should you do go ahead and drink with him or just back away from the drinks that contain alcohol. I think that it would be best if you just stay away and act appropriate because you know that drinking without supervision is choosing the wrong. Everyday we wake up and wonder what should we do today and the first thing that should come to mind is to choose the right all the time. Choose some friends that are mature and honest with you because those are the ones that always choose the right.

“Act well your part; there all honor lies”- Alexander Pope

What this quote means is that if we do well in our part we will feel good about it because they weren’t lies, it was only us being honest. We need to choose the right and not the wrong because it may lead to consequences. An example of this quote would be Martin Luther King Jr. because he fought for civil rights and was honest about it. He did because he wanted freedom and equal rights for everyone. Since he did it with honesty and integrity he is now remembered and honored as someone important. I advise you to always do your part by being honest because it will only bring out the good in us. You should  want to be honor with honesty lies and not real lies that you may have committed because you may lose everything. Choosing the right will lead you to many good things and you may even get something in return because you did it with honesty. Remember to do your part by being honest, nice, and CTR because you may only get one chance.

Lie

“When you tell one lie it leads to another”- Paul Hatch

What this quote is trying to tell us is that anytime you choose to tell a lie there will always be another lie to tell because you won’t be able to cover up the one before anymore. Another thing is that you’re choosing the wrong by telling a lie. You may think, oh it's just a small lie but in reality it doesn’t matter how big or small it is because at the end of the day it’s still a lie. If you go on lying each day eventually there will be no escape for you. It would be best for you and everyone else if you just tell the truth from the beginning instead of telling a lie. One more thing, when you tell a lie it can also hurt others and you may not realize it because you only care about yourself. Don’t be that one person who decides to go the wrong way, be the one that will be able to make changes and always have honesty in them. Telling lies will only hurt you they're your enemies, so choose the right.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always choose the right because if we don’t we'll end up having consequences. Another thing is that when you know that something isn’t right we shouldn’t do it because we can get in serious trouble just like I stated earlier. An example would be, you go to the store with your mom and you see this nice new sweater, but it’s expensive and you know that your mom won’t buy it. Instead you decide to steal it without know one seeing you. Do you think you’re making the right choice by just stealing it. I believe that you shouldn’t do it because that is not right. Imagine if it was the opposite of that you probably wouldn’t get in trouble because you decided to do the right thing. It’s better to want something than just going ahead and stealing it, eventually you will get it maybe not now but later on. When you know that something isn’t true, do you think that you should be able to say it out loud. I believe that you shouldn’t  because that can cause the other person to get in trouble for something that isn’t even true. Always choose the right and think twice before you commit your actions.

What this quote is trying to tell us is that we should always choose the right because that is was really counts the most. We shouldn’t worry about winning or losing because that doesn’t really matter to anyone else, unless you think that isn’t enough for you. You shouldn’t think for what you want, but for who you are because that is what really matters. An example of being honorable and fair is if you have a test and you know that it is going to be really hard. What should you do? Study or just cheat, I believe that you should study really hard because that is the right thing to do and it shows how honest you were with yourself and the others. Don’t let yourself or other down just because you didn’t choose the right. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose because that is always going to happen throughout life. Just think about being honorable and fair to everyone.

           

Honesty

What this quote is trying to tell us is that by being honest you will also be able to gain the honesty of others as well. Another thing is that being honest with yourself and others you   are showing how you obey the rule by doing the right thing. An example would be you go to a party with your friend and you see that there is drinking and smoking in the party. You decide to take a little bit of it because it won’t do any harm. Once you get home your mom starts to ask have you been drinking, but you tell her no. What does this mean? You just told a lie to your mom and that is not being a CTR person. Honesty is the only way to a good future because it is the best policy that you can carry around with you all the time. You should always think twice before you commit an action because only you will know when it is the time to tell the truth or tell a lie. Don’t make yourself struggle just because you didn’t want to be honest with yourself or others. It is best if you just tell the truth instead of having to lie.

Feel Right

     What this quote means is that you can't feel good when you know that you have committed something bad. Another thing is that you should feel a shame of yourself  when you think that you feel right because its impossible to feel good. We all know that inside of yourself  you rethink what you have done wrong, so you decide to feel happy like if nothing happen because a lot happened. When you say that you feel right we know that's a lie because how can you actually feel right to doing something wrong. You always try to go for the right thing so that you can feel right/good. Like choosing CTR makes you a better person. But if you do the opposite then you wont't be able to feel right. Unless your so evil that you don't feel love or anything else, etc. It can be hard to not commit something bad, but you shouldn't lie about feeling good. You should be honest with yourself.
