I think this quote is trying to tell us that we should always choose the right no matter what because when we do there is always something good in return. An example to describe this quote would be you’re the new girl to school and you know that you won’t have any friends. But the next day you try to impress other but in reality that isn’t you . What should you do, continue to do that or make friends the right way. Smith is also trying to tell us that we shouldn’t be afraid to choose the right because being a good person can lead to great accomplishments. Just like him he was just doing what felt right for him and now look at him he is a well known basketball coach that will always be remembered as a legend. So stand up and always remember to choose the right because nothing else comes before you.
