It is traditionally celebrated on February 22 Washington’s actual date of birth, but it eventually became popularly known as President's Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act. Presidents Day began in the 1800’s . Now presidents day is popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and future.
