Duties and Responsibilities:
    Ophthalmologist are physicians that choose to specialize in conditions, injuries, and diseases affecting the eye and its related structures. They may be thought generally as eye doctor and perform some of the same duties as optometrist. But the difference is that they can perform eye surgery and treat eye diseases that a optometrist may not do. Another thing is that they examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses and glasses.

    Ophthalmologist are a type of physician and are required to earn a medical degree and earn a four year bachelor’s degree. They must complete four years of medical school and undergo 3-8 years of internships and residencies. They are required a state license.
Demand or need for this profession:
    Ophthalmologists must have strong physics and math skills as well as a robust medical knowledge.This is because many ophthalmologist own their own practices. Having good management and administrative skills are also helpful.
